Heavenly butter cookies

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 6 g baking powder
  • 200 g powdered sugar
  • 2 small eggs (together approx. 100g)
  • 250 g butter, cold
  • 2 tbsp milk, as needed
  • 1 vanilla sugar
  • Jam, for filling
  • Icing sugar, for numbing or icing
  • possibly food coloring, for the icing

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour

Quickly knead the ingredients into a smooth dough and chill for 30 minutes. Then roll out to about 3 mm thick and cut out shapes (pairs). Bake at 150°C (300°F) for about 8-10 minutes using conventional oven heating. Strain the jam (or use a variety without fruit pieces) and spread it over the cooled pairs of cookies, then sandwich them together. Finally, dust with powdered sugar or cover with icing (optionally colored). Makes about 30 cookies.
