Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 2 jars of sour cherries
- 200 g margarine
- 200 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 pts. vanilla sugar
- 250 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 pts. pudding powder, vanilla
- 150 g sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- ⅛ liter milk
- ½ liter of milk
- 3 cups sour cream
- ½ liter cherry juice
- 2 pts. cake glaze, red
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Sheet cake
Drain the sour cherries well, reserving the juice. Cream the margarine until fluffy, add the sugar and vanilla sugar and mix well. Then add the eggs one at a time and beat everything until fluffy. Mix the sifted flour with the baking powder and stir in. Spread the mixture on a baking tray and pre-bake at 200°C (top and bottom heat) for about 15 minutes. Mix the vanilla pudding with 150g of sugar. Add the egg yolks and 1/8 l milk and mix. Bring 1/2 l milk to the boil, stir in the pudding mix and bring to the boil. Add the sour cream. The mixture needs to cool slightly. Then spread it on the pre-baked cake. Distribute the well-drained sour cherries on top. Bake for another 15 minutes at 200°C (400°F). Let the cake cool. Make a glaze from 1/2 l cherry juice and the cake glaze powder. Cover the cake with this and chill.
