Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 500 g potatoes, waxy
- 4 salted herring(s), fillets
- 1 m.-large onion(s), red
- 2 bay leaves
- 50 g butter
- 3 tbsp Maggi
- 200 ml sweet cream
- salt and pepper

Preheat the oven to 200°C fan/convection oven. Peel the potatoes and slice them thinly. Cover the bottom of a deep casserole dish with water and layer the potatoes in it. Lightly salt the potatoes. Peel the onion and slice into rings. Dice the herring fillets and place them in the center of the casserole dish, then arrange the onions on top. Sprinkle the bay leaves over the onions, season with pepper, and top with the Maggi sauce. Spread the butter in small pieces evenly over the dish, pour over the cream, and place it in the middle rack of the oven for one hour. After baking, let it rest in the oven for a while.
