Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 fish fillet(s) (matjes), marinated in oil
  • 10 small cucumber(s), from the jar, possibly pickled cucumbers
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 apple
  • 2 onions
  • 1 sour cream
  • salt and pepper
  • dill

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut the herring into small strips. Chop the apple, cucumber, and eggs. Chop the onions and add them. Mix the oil from the herring, a little broth from the cucumbers and sour cream, salt, pepper, and dill to make a sauce and mix everything together. This goes best with boiled potatoes.
