Herring Tartare

The perfect herring tartare recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Tartare

  • 16 Herring fillets
  • 200 g Crème fraîche with herbs
  • 1 bunch Spring onions fresh
  • White milled pepper
  1. Cook the potatoes in salted water for about 15-20 minutes, drain, peel and serve on plates with the herring tartare
  2. Cut the matjes into small cubes. Spring onions in fine strips.
  3. Mix the matjes cubes and spring onion strips well in a bowl with the crème fraîche, herbs and pepper.
  4. Then arrange on plates with a side dish. A radish salad also tastes good with it.
