Hessian bacon cake

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 600 g bread dough from the bakery
  • 2 stale rolls, soaked in milk
  • 500 g sour cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 500 g parsley
  • 50 g semolina
  • 250 g bacon, fat, diced, rolled in breadcrumbs
  • 2 tsp salt
  • some shallots

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Roll out the bread dough on a baking sheet, prick with a fork, and let it rise in a warm place. Mix the sour cream, eggs, salt, semolina, and finely chopped herbs into a mixture and spread it over the dough. Sprinkle the bacon cubes and a handful of breadcrumbs on top. Bake at 180°C for about 1 hour. Let it cool slightly and serve warm.
