Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 vegetable onion(s)
  • 3 large vine tomatoes
  • 2 bunches of coriander leaves
  • 6 chili peppers (birdeye chili)
  • 2 limes
  • 4 tbsp fish sauce

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

spicy tomato and onion salad from Vietnam

Dice the tomatoes and onion, and finely chop the coriander and chili. Place everything in a large bowl and mix with the lime juice and fish sauce. Season to taste with a little more fish sauce. Serve with plenty of rice; the dish is very spicy. It also tastes great tossed with diced cucumber.
