Homemade Pizza Sauce

The perfect homemade pizza sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 Pc. Paprika
  • 250 g Tomatoes
  • 1 Pc. Onion
  • 4 Pc. Fresh garlic
  • Chilli from the mill
  • Sea salt from the mill
  • Pepper from the grinder
  • Rapeseed oil
  • 0,25 liter Vegetable broth from stock
  • 0,125 liter Red wine
  • Chopped basil
  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste
  1. Peel the onion and cut into small pieces. Roast in a little rapeseed oil. Peel and chop the garlic. Wash the peppers and tomatoes and cut into small pieces without the stalk.
  2. Add the garlic to the roasted onions and roast them briefly. Now add peppers and tomatoes, deglaze with red wine and vegetable stock. With Chlli. Season salt and pepper. Add tomato paste (to taste). Finally add the basil.
  3. Now let the whole thing simmer until it is quite creamy (see picture) I didn’t pass the sauce, you can of course make it. We don’t like it that way.
  4. The sauce can be used in many ways. Is also great for freezing.
