Sauces: Tomato Sauce for Pizza

The perfect sauces: tomato sauce for pizza recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 Cans Chunky tomatoes, unseasoned
  • 1 piece Fresh onion
  • 2 piece Cloves of garlic, fresh
  • 2 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil
  • 0,5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0,5 teaspoon Black pepper from the mill
  • 0,5 teaspoon Red chilli flakes
  • 2 teaspoon Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Balsamic vinegar dark
  • 1 handful Fresh herbs – here: thyme, rosemary, oregano, maggi herb
  1. Peel the onions and garlic, roughly chop and fry in hot olive oil. Add the chunky tomatoes and simmer for about 15 minutes.
  2. Season with salt, pepper, chilli flakes, sugar and vinegar.
  3. Sort the herbs and roughly chop them. Add to the sauce and puree it with the magic wand.
  4. After cooling, spread the sauce on the prepared pizza dough (spicy baking: pizza dough, the 397th by Umberto Napolitano, the pizza acrobat) and process further.
  5. Tip 5: You can of course also use other herbs such as basil, rocket or sage. No matter which one you take, the only important thing is that they are fresh.
