Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 250 g flour
  • some water, cold
  • n. B. Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Briefly mix the eggs and oil with the Oscar mixer, add the flour, and mix with the salt to form a smooth dough. Pour the dough through a spaetzle sieve (or scrape it off a board with a knife) into boiling water and cook over low heat until they float to the surface. These homemade spaetzle make an excellent side dish. Tip: Add grated cheese and browned onions to make Kässpatzen (cheese spaetzle), or add cabbage and toasted smoked bacon to make Krautspatzen (slaw spaetzle). Serve with a fresh salad.
