Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g flour
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 300 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Water or flour sparrows

Sift flour into a bowl and mix with the salt. Add the water and egg and beat with a wooden spoon until the batter bubbles. Then let it rest for a few minutes. Scoop out the sparrows with a teaspoon and drop them directly into boiling salted water. When the sparrows float to the surface, they’re done. They go very well with goulash, roulades, and anything with plenty of sauce.
