Homemade Toast Bread
The perfect homemade toast bread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 0,5 bag Dry yeast
- 10 g Sugar
- 0,375 liter Milk
- 500 g Spelled flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 50 g Butter at room temperature
- 20 g Who likes fresh yeast.
- Dissolve the yeast and sugar in a little lukewarm milk, including the dry yeast.
- Then knead the flour, salt and softened butter and slowly pour in the rest of the milk.
- The dough must not stick, if necessary add a little flour and cover. Let rise for 50 minutes.
- Put the dough in a greased and floured loaf pan. I also put a strip of baking paper on the bottom of the loaf pan. Shape the dough into balls so that 4 balls fill the loaf pan.
- Then cover it in the mold and cover another plastic bag, let rise for another 60 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 200C and place a fireproof bowl of water on the floor.
- Then spray the toast with water and place it on the middle rail in the oven. Bake for about 45 minutes, depending on the oven.
- It tastes really great. I will never buy toast again. My neighbors loved it. Takes time but is worth it.
