Honey Aioli

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 600 ml oil, preferably sunflower oil
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 ½ tbsp mustard
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 200 g sour cream or cream cheese
  • 1 dashes lemon(s)
  • some parsley
  • 2 ½ tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 6 hours; Total time approx. 6 hours 10 minutes

A dip for bread, meat, or fish. Perfect for barbecues and parties.

In a bowl, mix the egg yolks with the mustard and crushed garlic cloves. Slowly add the oil, stirring constantly with a mixer, until you have a thick mayonnaise. Stir in sour cream or cream cheese. Cream cheese is a bit firmer and can help thicken a mayonnaise that’s too runny. Season with salt, lemon, and honey. Stir in the parsley. Let it sit in the refrigerator for a few hours.
