Honey cake with nuts

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 150 g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp, leveled baking powder, Russian (baking soda)
  • 200 g walnuts
  • 500 g sour cream
  • 150 ml condensed milk (Milchmädchen)
  • ½ lemon(s), the juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

21 cm baking pan. Melt the honey and mix with the sugar, salt, and eggs. Add the flour, baking powder, and cornstarch and fold in. Stir in the chopped walnuts. Pour the batter into the pan. Bake at 180°C for 12-15 minutes. Then cover the cake with foil and bake for another 35-40 minutes. Turn off the oven and open the door slightly. Let the cake cool in the oven. Divide the cooled cake into 4 equal parts. For the cream, mix all the ingredients and spread plenty of cream on the cake layers, then place them together. Let the cake set well. Regular cream can be used instead of the cream specified.
