This is what you need for a honey parfait
Before we explain the preparation, here is the list of ingredients for four people:
- For the parfait, you need 75 ml of milk.
- Separate the yolk from the white of two eggs. You then use only the yolks for the parfait.
- Prepare 100 g of honey. Which kind you use depends on your taste preferences.
- You will also need 200 g of cream, as well as a pinch of salt.
- To freeze the parfait you will need a loaf pan and cling film.
This is how the parfait with honey succeeds
Once you have all the ingredients, start preparing.
- Put the milk and honey in a saucepan and bring both to a boil. Let the milk boil until the honey has completely dissolved. Stir frequently.
- Now beat the egg yolks and honey milk over a hot water bath to form an even cream.
- While this cream is cooling, whip the cream with a pinch of salt until stiff.
- When the honey cream has cooled completely, fold in the cream. Tip: First let the mixture cool down sufficiently in the air. Otherwise, the hot milk would raise the temperature in the fridge or freezer, potentially damaging other foods.
- Line the loaf tin with cling film and pour in the honey parfait. Then cover the mold with a second piece of foil.
- The parfait needs to be in the freezer for the next eight to ten hours. Then it’s a little more than half frozen.
- Then take the dessert out of the mold with the foil.
- Remove the cling film and enjoy your honey parfait.
