Hot and Spicy Chocolate

The perfect hot and spicy chocolate recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 ml Fresh whole milk
  • 4 Cardamom pods
  • 1 Star anise
  • 0,25 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 pinch Espelette pepper
  • 60 g Chocolate 80% cocoa
  1. Poke the cardamom pods a little and put them in a spice bag together with the star anise. Bring the milk to the boil together with the cinnamon and the Espelette pepper and the spice bag. Put it down and let it steep for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Then bring to the boil again, remove from the stove, remove the spice bag, add the chocolate. Wait a few minutes and then stir vigorously and enjoy.
