Hot chocolate

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 300 ml milk, low-fat
  • 100 ml milk
  • 80 g condensed milk, 10%
  • 4 tsp sugar, heaped
  • 2 tsp vanilla sugar, heaped
  • 1 tsp, levelled cocoa powder
  • 40 g chocolate, 76%
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • chili powder
  • rum

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

with or without rum

Boil 4 heaped teaspoons of sugar with 80g of condensed milk until smooth (for a nice creamy consistency). Stir in a level teaspoon of cocoa powder, a pinch of salt, two heaped teaspoons of vanilla sugar, and a dash of chili powder with a little milk until smooth, then add to the mixture. Add the whole milk and the semi-skimmed milk, bring to a boil, dissolve the dark chocolate in it, and enjoy. For simplicity, you can also use semi-skimmed milk alone, but this ratio results in a wonderfully creamy consistency without being too rich. It also works great with a dash of rum! I’ve tried various types of rum with this recipe – the inexpensive Jamaican rum blend with a not-too-high alcohol content is the tastiest version for me.
