Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 sausages (Frikandel, Dutch poultry sausage, frozen)
- 4 buns for hot dogs
- 1 onion(s) (vegetable onion)
- 1 jar gherkin(s), sliced
- Paprika powder
- salt and pepper
- oil
- Tomato ketchup
- Mustard
- Remoulade
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Like at the fair
Slice the onion into strips and sauté in a pan with a little oil until translucent. Season with pepper, salt, and paprika. Meanwhile, fry the Frikandels in a deep fryer or in the same pan until golden brown (they can stay frozen). Toast the hot dog buns in the toaster. Cut open the bun, add the Frikandel, top with onions (to taste), drizzle with remoulade, mustard, or ketchup, and top with cucumber slices.
