Hot Dog Dim Sum

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 16 dough sheets (wonton dough), frozen
  • 2 Bockwurst or hot dog sausages
  • ½ onion(s)
  • 100 g cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Cut the sausages into thin slices and finely dice the onion. Thaw the wonton wrappers in a towel. Then fill the wrappers with a few sausage slices, onions, and cheese. Not too full, so that the wrappers can now be sealed properly. It takes a bit of practice to get them looking good. Then I place them in my bamboo steamer on some baking paper on the steaming pot for 20 minutes. Instead of dipping the wrappers in soy sauce, dip them in hot dog sauce or a mustard-ketchup mix. Pickled cucumbers go well with the wrappers. I always buy the wonton wrappers frozen from an Asian store.
