Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 buns (hot dog buns)
  • ¼ cucumber(s)
  • 2 tsp mustard or ketchup
  • 2 slice(s) cheese (e.g. Gouda, Leerdammer)
  • some fried onions
  • 2 sausages (hot dog sausages)
  • 2 slices of bacon

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Place a slice of cheese in each roll and bake until golden brown. Meanwhile, get a pot, fill it with water, place it on the stove, and add the sausages. Heat the water, but don’t let it boil, or the sausages will burst. Let the sausages stand until they’re piping hot, which will take 5-10 minutes. Remove the rolls from the oven and let them stand for about a minute. When the sausages are done, place them in the rolls, slice the cucumber, and add it. Then add the remaining ingredients (bacon, ketchup, mustard, fried onions) and top the rolls with them. Enjoy!
