Ingredients for 75 servings:

  • 200 g almonds
  • 100 g candied fruits
  • 300 g flour (1/3 wholemeal flour)
  • ¾ pack of baking powder
  • 200 g sugar
  • 200 g sultanas
  • 50 g pine nuts
  • 4 eggs

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Roughly chop the almonds and candied fruit and mix with the other dry ingredients, then knead with the eggs until a smooth dough forms. Divide the dough into 3 equal pieces, shape each into approximately 25cm long logs (approx. 4mm in diameter). Place them on a baking sheet, brush with beaten egg, and bake in a preheated oven at medium heat (180°C) for approximately 10 minutes until golden brown. Cut into 1cm thick slices while still lukewarm.
