A pizza stone is a great way to turn your home oven or grill into an Italian stone oven. Both pizza and bread turn out wonderfully on it.

It is best to preheat the pizza stone in the oven: place it on a grid, push it onto the lowest level and preheat the stone for at least 30 minutes at 220 degrees (bottom heat).

When using it on the grill, you can place the pizza stone directly on the grid and preheat it there for 30 minutes at high heat.

Then bake the pizza (or the loaf of bread, the stone is also suitable for this) directly and without oil on the stone until crispy, closing the lid when grilling.

Place the pizza stone on a wire shelf and slide it onto a wire shelf on the bottom or middle shelf in the cold oven. Preheat the oven at the highest level for about 30-40 minutes. During this time, the pizza stone absorbs the heat and heats up.
