Dates are high in fiber and thus contribute to regular digestion. They also contain significant amounts of the mineral potassium, which is important in the body for the regulation of water balance and for the nervous system. Dates also contain a high proportion of easily digestible sugar. With around 280 kilocalories each, fresh and dried dates are relatively high in calories, so they should only be consumed in moderation. The flesh of the fruit is not only nutritious but also filling. Try it in our date cream, for example.
