Hummus with a twist

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 can chickpeas
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 4 cl apple cider vinegar
  • some water or chickpea broth
  • 100 ml sunflower oil
  • 2 tbsp cumin powder
  • some salt and pepper
  • some chili powder to taste

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

really delicious

Drain the chickpeas. Reserve the chickpea juice. Peel the garlic cloves and press them into the chickpeas. Then puree the chickpeas with the garlic. Mix with apple cider vinegar, sunflower oil, peanut butter, and a little water/chickpea liquid until smooth. Season to taste with cumin, salt, pepper, and chili powder. It tastes even better when served immediately, or after it’s been left to rest for a while. Serve with flatbread or something similar.
