Hungarian pumpkin vegetables

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g pumpkin(s)
  • 300 g onion(s)
  • 1 cup of cream
  • Oil (olive oil)
  • Vinegar
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Clean the inside of the pumpkin, peel it, and coarsely grate it or cut it into chips-like pieces. Peel and slice the onions. Sauté the onions in olive oil, add the pumpkin flesh, and heat through. Add a little water and simmer until the pumpkin is firm to the bite but not soft. Pour in the cream and season with salt and vinegar. Serve with boiled potato dumplings and, if you like, roast pork.
