Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g bacon, diced
  • 3 shallots, finely diced
  • 200 g mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
  • 200 g tomatoes, peeled or some tomato paste
  • 4 chicken legs or breasts (depending on taste), skinned
  • salt and pepper
  • some oil
  • 125 ml beef stock
  • 125 ml white wine
  • Garlic
  • Paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 20 minutes

Marinate the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, garlic, paprika, and a little oil (for one day). Brown them in a pan with the oil and set them aside. Then fry the onions, sliced ​​mushrooms, diced bacon, and tomato paste (diluted with a little water) – or the peeled tomatoes – and pour in the beef stock and white wine. Add the chicken pieces and braise in the juices for 20 minutes on each side. This goes perfectly with wild rice and iceberg lettuce, or simply with baguette and salad.
