Hussar doughnuts for the calorie-conscious

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g margarine, semi-skimmed
  • 65 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 160 g flour
  • 60 g jam (raspberry jelly, strawberry jam or blackcurrant jelly)

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes

WW – suitable (for 50 pieces per piece 0.5 P.)

Beat the margarine with sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Stir in the egg yolks. Add the flour and quickly knead everything into a smooth dough. Wrap in cling film and chill for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 160°C. Line the baking tray with baking paper. Form the dough into small balls. Use a wooden spoon to make small indentations in the cookies and fill them with jelly. Place the hussar doughnuts next to each other on the baking tray, leaving some space between them. Bake in the oven on the middle rack at 140°C fan/convection oven for approx. 40 minutes until golden brown. Remove the hussar doughnuts and pull them off the tray using the paper. Allow to cool.
