Indian: Fried Cabbage with Potatoes

  • 500 g White cabbage
  • 2 medium sized Onions
  • 3 cm Ginger
  • 2 Toes Garlic
  • 0,5 tsp Onion seeds
  • 1 -2 Peproni
  • 2 medium sized Potatoes
  • 0,5 tsp Cumin, coriander powder, paprika and turmeric
  • Salt pepper
  • 2 -3 tbsp Chopped coriander leaves
  • Oil
  1. Clean the white cabbage and cut into bite-sized pieces. Peel and wash the potatoes and cut into smaller bite-sized pieces. Put both aside.
  2. Peel and roughly dice the onions. Ginger peel and finely chop. Peel the garlic, remove the seedling and press through the press.
  3. Fry the onions in plenty of oil until they turn brown. Then add the ginger and steam it until it no longer smells raw.
  4. Add the garlic, chilli and onion seeds and sauté briefly until the garlic no longer smells raw.
  5. Mix in the white cabbage and fry, stirring frequently, until it is translucent.
  6. Mix in the potato cubes and cook with the lid closed on low medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  7. Season only towards the end and let it steep for a few minutes.
  8. Mix in the coriander greens or just sprinkle with them before serving.
  9. Serve with chapati and natural yoghurt.
