Indian spicy chickpea salad – Chana Chaat

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 ½ cup(s) chickpeas, cooked
  • ½ cup(s) potatoes, cooked, diced
  • ½ cup(s) tomatoes, diced
  • 1 cup(s) cucumber(s), peeled and diced
  • ½ cup(s) onion(s), finely diced
  • ½ cup(s) mint, fresh, slightly chopped
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • ¼ tsp chili powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper, freshly ground
  • some salt
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 2 tbsp rapeseed oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Serve well chilled

Mix all ingredients thoroughly in a bowl. Chill, then season to taste. Tip: Since canned chickpeas are quite firm, we recommend cooking them fresh until the desired firmness is reached.
