Inexpensive potato skewers

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 8 large potatoes
  • 4 small sausages (thick boiled sausages or bratwursts)
  • 150 g bacon, sliced
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • e.g. onion(s) and garlic

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Boil the potatoes in their skins for about 20 minutes, drain, let them steam, peel, and let them cool. Cut the potatoes and sausages into approximately 1 cm thick slices. Halve the bacon slices and thread them onto skewers, alternating with the potato and sausage slices, and sprinkle with pepper and salt. Then brush the skewers with oil. Cover the grill with aluminum foil and grill the skewers for 8-10 minutes until crispy on all sides. You can also add garlic pieces or onion rings, if desired.
