healthy snack
Roast the almonds, sunflower seeds, and sesame seeds separately in a pan without fat, then mix everything together. Bring the syrup ingredients to a boil in a saucepan, simmer for about 1-2 minutes; add the dry ingredients and mix everything until smooth. Roll out the mixture on a baking sheet (no baking paper needed; I flatten it with my hands) and refrigerate for 1 hour. Then cut into bite-sized pieces. The bars will keep in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 weeks. Variation: Replace 50 g of sunflower seeds with 50 g of flaxseed. I’ve also mixed in oats, but I’d need to add a bit more liquid (fat)—you’ll need to experiment with this!
