Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g minced meat
- 1 onion(s), chopped
- 1 garlic clove(s), chopped
- 3 tbsp tomato paste
- salt and pepper
- 1 pinch(s) of sugar
- 2 can/n tomatoes, peeled
- Herbs (oregano, rosemary, basil)
- 1 bay leaf, if desired
- e.g. olive oil
- possibly cherry tomatoes
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Mama’s Bolognese sauce
Briefly sauté the onion in olive oil until translucent, add the ground beef and fry until crumbly. Add the garlic and tomato paste to the pot and sauté briefly. Top with tomatoes and season with spices. Simmer with the lid on for about 30 minutes (the longer the better!). Add the basil to the sauce at the end. Serve with spaghetti and plenty of freshly grated Parmesan cheese. If desired, you can also add fresh cherry tomatoes (roughly chopped) to the sauce.
