Italian pasta salad

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 500 g pasta, e.g. macaroni
  • 500 g tomatoes
  • 5 balls of mozzarella
  • 2 bunches of basil
  • 5 tbsp olive oil (more if desired)
  • 5 tbsp balsamic vinegar (dark, more if desired)
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente, drain, and add it to a large salad bowl with the oil. Wash and chop the tomatoes, and add them to the pasta. Drain the liquid from the mozzarella, roughly dice the cheese, and add it to the pasta. Season to taste with balsamic vinegar, pepper, and salt. Finally, tear the basil leaves over the salad and toss everything together.
