Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g bread(s), one day old, e.g. white bread or rolls
  • 1 tbsp oregano, dried
  • 1 tbsp basil, dried
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic granules

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Preheat the oven to 150°C. Roughly dice the bread and grind in a blender. Spread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and dry in the oven for 10-15 minutes. Stir halfway through. Let the breadcrumbs cool completely and grind in a blender with the spices until the desired consistency. Store in an airtight container. The breadcrumbs are suitable for many savory recipes, such as meatballs.
