Jaroma cabbage – minced meat – stew

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 kg white cabbage (Jaroma cabbage)
  • 500 g potatoes
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 400 g minced beef
  • salt and pepper
  • curry powder
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • 2 tbsp margarine
  • ½ tsp caraway powder
  • 750 ml meat broth or vegetable broth
  • 1 small egg(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Quarter the kale and remove the stalk. Wash the leaves and cut into 3-4 cm pieces. Peel, wash, and dice the potatoes. Peel and roughly dice the onion. Mix the minced meat with the egg and season with pepper, salt, curry, and paprika. Melt the margarine in a large pot. Now alternate layers of kale, minced meat, potatoes, and onions, seasoning each layer with caraway, salt, and pepper. Pour in the broth, cover, and simmer over low heat for about 30 minutes. Season again to taste.
