Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 1 cup water
- 1 cardamom, green
- 1 stalk(s) cinnamon, just a small piece
- Peppercorns, only 1 grain
- 1 carnation(s)
- 1 piece(s) ginger, small
- 1 tsp, heaped sugar
- 1 tsp black tea
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
Winter version for Indian chai
Grind the spices together. Bring the water, spices, and sugar to a boil, add the tea, and simmer for 3 minutes. Pour in the milk and simmer for another 2 minutes. Strain and enjoy. For a summer version, omit the cinnamon, pepper, cloves, and ginger.
