Season
Jonagold is sold from October to July.
Taste

Use
Suitable for raw consumption, but also for baking and cooking.
Storage
The Jonagold is not only one of the most popular apple varieties in Germany, it is also extremely easy to store and keep. Jonagold is perfect for securing a good portion of vitamins during the winter – and with good storage conditions also in spring and early summer. You either keep apples in the fridge or in a cool, rather dark room. In this way, freshness, taste, and nutrients are very well preserved. Avoid storing with other types of fruit such as pears or with vegetables such as tomatoes. If you prefer to reserve a place for apples, then the other types of fruit and vegetables will stay fresh longer. At room temperature, apples should be eaten within a week.
