Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 kg jostaberries
- 1 pack of gelling sugar 2:1
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 13 minutes; Total time approx. 28 minutes
Remove the stems, etc., from the jostaberries and wash them thoroughly. Then place about 1 kg of the berries in the mixing bowl and chop for about 5 seconds on speed 6. Add the gelling sugar to the pot. Cook the berries for 13 minutes at 100°C on speed 2. Once cooking is complete, immediately pour the jam into previously sterilized jars, seal them, and let them cool upside down. Note: If you don’t have a Thermomix or food processor, you can also make the jam in a pot. To do this, the berries must be mashed with a potato masher or similar tool before cooking. With this method, it is important that the jam boils briskly for at least 4 minutes. For me, 1 kg of jostaberries yields about 4 jars of jam.
