Blackberry-watermelon jam

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g blackberries
  • 500 g watermelon(s), flesh without seeds
  • 500 g gelling sugar 2:1
  • 1 lemon(s), juice
  • 1 tbsp, heaped ginger root
  • 2 tbsp honey or 3 tbsp
  • ½ tsp Pul Biber

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

with ginger, honey and some chili

Finely chop the melon flesh. Finely chop the ginger. Combine all ingredients in a large pot, stir, and let stand for 1 hour. Heat on the stovetop, blending with an immersion blender. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Skim off any foam that forms. Pour into rinsed jars while still hot and immediately seal with the lids.
