Juicy Lucy Burger with cheese filling

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 500 g minced beef or mixed
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 50 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 6 slices of processed cheese (e.g. Chester)
  • 3 large rolls (hamburger buns)
  • 100 g gherkins
  • 50 g lamb’s lettuce
  • 1 onion(s), red

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Combine the ground beef with the egg, tomato paste, finely chopped onion, and breadcrumbs, then form into 6 bun-sized patties. Place a slice of cheese between each patty and press the edges together firmly. Grill or pan-fry and place on toasted burger buns, topped with your favorite toppings. For an extra dose of cheese, melt an extra slice of cheese on top of the patty.
