Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 2 kg smoked pork loin
  • 1 jar mustard, medium hot
  • 3 cups of sweet cream
  • n. B. Sauce thickener or flour for binding

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 day 1 hour 40 minutes

Smoked pork with mustard

Brush the pork loin generously all over with mustard. Let it stand in a covered pan in the refrigerator overnight. Then, pour the cream over the meat in an uncovered roasting pan and roast for 45 minutes in an oven preheated to 200°C. Reduce the heat to 175°C and cook for another 45 minutes. Baste the meat with the cream occasionally. Finally, thicken the cream with a sauce thickener or flour to make a sauce.
