Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g smoked pork (preferably the salmon piece)
- 1 kg potatoes
- 1 cup crème fraîche
- 1 cup of cream
- salt and pepper
- Thyme
- nutmeg
- n. B. cheese, grated
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Put the potatoes on the boil and cook until tender. In the meantime, dice the meat and place it in a casserole dish. Slice the potatoes, with or without the skin on, as desired, and place the slices on top of the meat. Season the crème fraîche and cream with salt, pepper, thyme, and nutmeg to taste. A little tip: You can add plenty of thyme; it tastes better that way. Pour the sauce evenly over the potatoes and place the dish in the oven. Bake for 30-40 minutes at 180°C. If you like, you can top the casserole with cheese, but it tastes great without it too. I like to serve it with a leaf salad.
