Kasseler with red wine sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 slice(s) smoked Kasseler, with bone
  • 1 ½ cubes of gravy (2 halves + 1 half)
  • 1 some vegetable fat
  • some water (5 – 6 tbsp)
  • 250 ml red wine, about
  • 1 garlic clove(s), if desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

simply delicious

Heat the fat in a non-stick pan and sear the smoked pork loin slices on both sides (do not add salt). Then add a very small amount of water (approx. 5-6 tablespoons) and a glass (approx. 1/4 liter) of red wine. Add the gravy cubes, making sure they dissolve well in the liquid. Let everything simmer until the sauce becomes slightly creamy. If you like garlic, you can add it now—I always add a crushed clove. This makes the sauce taste even more hearty and sophisticated. Serve with well-seasoned fried potatoes (I cooked the potatoes the day before) and a delicious bean salad with red onion rings. Allow one slightly thicker slice of pork loin per person.
