Kidney bean chips

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • some salt
  • 2 tsp paprika powder or other spices of your choice, e.g. curry, garlic

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees fan-assisted. Wash the kidney beans thoroughly, drain in a sieve, and pat dry with a kitchen towel. Mix them with the remaining ingredients in a bowl and then spread them out on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Pre-roast in the oven for 15 minutes. Then remove from the oven and flatten the kidney beans with a simple glass to create small chips. If the kidney beans stick to the glass, carefully scrape them off with a knife. Finally, bake the small chips in the oven for another 15 minutes until crispy. If flattening is too much work for you, you can simply leave the kidney beans in the oven for the full 30 minutes.
