Ingredients for 15 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 2 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 100 g chocolate, chopped Kinder chocolate
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 120 g brown sugar
  • 125 g butter, soft
  • 250 g buttermilk
  • 3 pieces of chocolate (Kinder chocolate bars)
  • 140 g chocolate coating (milk)
  • 50 g white chocolate coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes

In a bowl, carefully mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, chopped Kinder chocolate, and cocoa powder. In a second bowl, whisk the egg, sugar, softened butter, and buttermilk; mix well. Now add the flour mixture to the egg mixture and mix all ingredients thoroughly. Place the paper baking cups into the muffin tins and fill with the batter. Break off a piece of each chocolate bar and press it into the center of the muffins. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C (160°C fan-assisted oven) on the middle rack for approx. 20-25 minutes. Remove the tray from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes. Remove from the tin and let it cool on a wire rack. Melt the two chocolate coatings separately in a water bath. Dip the muffins in the milk chocolate coating and let it drain. Then decorate with the white chocolate coating.
