  • 500 ml milk
  • some flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon

Sweet milk soup

So here’s a recipe from Grandma: Heat milk and sugar. Meanwhile, fill a plate with flour. Add a little water and mash it together until it forms thick lumps. Not too much water, or it will turn into a mush. Add the lumps to the warm milk and simmer until the lumps are gone. Add a little cinnamon, and it’s done! Kids love this quick soup! Another variation is to mash the flour with egg; this makes “Kleckersuppe” (sloppy soup), which is a bit more runny than Klunkersuppe (a traditional German soup).
