Knee-soft cheese bites

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g cheese (Brie)
  • 8 slice(s) bread(s), brown (rye bread)
  • 4 walnuts, divided into 8 halves
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Cut the bread and cheese slices into even pieces, then toast the slices. Cut the cheese pieces crosswise down the middle and place them cut-side up on the bread slices. Place in a hot oven, preferably with the grill function (convection oven approx. 180 degrees Celsius), and leave in the oven (or grill) until the cheese begins to soften. Sprinkle with sweet paprika and garnish with the walnut halves. Serve immediately. I enjoy this warm and delicious “quick snack” best with a dry Gutedel from the Markgräflerland region.
