Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 slice(s) of bread (white bread or low-carb bread)
- 4 slices of meat sausage from the ring, possibly more
- 1 tbsp fried onions, more if desired
- 1 tbsp BBQ sauce or currywurst sauce, optionalmore
- 2 slices of cheese (butter cheese, Gouda or similar cheese)

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 6 minutes; Total time approx. 11 minutes
Low carb, vegetarian or vegan also possible
Preheat the oven to 180°C fan/convection oven. Toast the bread (I used spelt white bread and also low-carb bread – my best). Then spread it with the BBQ sauce. Peel the pork sausage and slice it. Place it evenly on the bread. Distribute the fried onions on top and top with the cheese. Bake in the oven for about 6 minutes, until the cheese is cooked to your liking. Alternatively, you can use pre-cooked sausage (e.g., to use up leftovers) and freshly fried onions. Vegetarians use vegetarian pork sausage, vegans use vegan sausage and cheese.
