Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 turnip or 1/3 radish cut into fine strips
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 spring onion(s), cut into thin rings
- 1 clove(s) garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp sesame seeds, roasted
- Chili powder, optional
- black pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
Muu Namul or Daejeon
Salt the beet or radish and let it soak for about 15 minutes, then squeeze and rinse well to remove any excess salt. Add the garlic, spring onion, vinegar, sugar, pepper, and chili, if desired, and massage in with your hands. Transfer to a pretty bowl and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
