Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 400 g sausage (Swedish Falukorv – alternatively German Fleischwurst)
  • 250 g whipped cream (15% fat)
  • 370 g tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cube of herb(s) (Italian herbs)
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 1 dash of soy sauce
  • salt and pepper

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Peel the sausage. First, cut it into 0.5 cm thick slices, then into strips. Peel and finely chop the onion, and fry it in a pan. Add the sausage strips and brown them. Then add the tomatoes and cream and simmer gently for 5 minutes. Finally, add the diced herbs and season with salt, pepper, and a small dash of soy sauce. Serve with noodles or rice. Swedes would eat “snabbmakaroner.” These are small, savoury pasta shells that cook in 3-4 minutes.
